Basically,i am mid-career policy professional belonging to Central Superior Services of Pakistan, and currently serving as environment and climate change manager in capacity as Section Officer(International Cooperation) at Ministry of Climate Change, Islamabad. My working experience includes almost fifteen years of active service with civil society,sub-national level and federal government under different portfolios, in various disciplines, departments and ministries supporting implementation of global goals of sustainable development. My current assignment includes building international cooperation ( bilateral & multilateral) for environmental protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation and fostering sustainable development in national context by taking into account global best practices. I am deeply fond of mainstreaming Multilateral Environmental Agreements into national plans and programs of development in order to link environmental dimension with sustainable development. I strongly believe in robust science-policy interface development in the field of sustainability , partnership building and international cooperation to give effect to global goals of sustainable development. I believe in multilateral approach of fostering environmental protection at global level. The unilateral approach in aftermath of Paris Climate Change Agreement -2015 and UN Sustainable Development Agenda-2030, is perhaps unacceptable to the modern world. Being international diplomat on environment and climate change and policy policy practitioner,my skills include strong international environment and climate change negotiations with focus on iternational environmental law and policy development. I have represented Government of Pakistan at various national and international meetings, conferences and seminars within Pakistan and abroad.
